About Gradient

Welcome to Gradient. This is a platform for me to timestamp my thoughts and ideas (and to look back at how wrong I was!).

I’ve been an equity analyst (both buy and sell side) for over a decade across multiple sectors and geographies. I currently run a family office with a global mandate.

My investment philosophy is simple to describe and hard to execute. I try to find good companies, ideally in sectors or verticals that are seeing secular growth and not pay too much for them. My number one priority is to maximize after tax returns.

Topics will vary from investment philosophy, behavioural finance and stock specific analysis. Post frequency will be ad hoc (however I’ll aim for one company specific article every 6-8 weeks).
